Content Today, I went out with my little sister who was here from Grand Rapids. We went to Walmart and bought a few things, and then to the Antique store and once again I have found that I really need to stay away from Antique stores lol. Yesterday I was so good about spending my money. But today, I think I spent to much. Dont want to know how much I spent yet.
Anyway, at the antique store I found The modern Pocket Hoyle. Its a very old book that even shows you how to play Faro which is illegal to play in casinos now in the US. Its a pretty neat little book even if it looks beat up. I've searched for the year it was published but the book doesn't say. It also looks as if it was rebound. Here's a picture.

As you can see the little book looks like its been through alot and it looks very old. I was generally surprised when I found it. I also found an original edition of The New Chronicles of Rebecca. Which is the sequel to Rebecca of Sunny Brook farm and bought Rebecca of SunnyBrook Farm too. I got all three books for twelve dollars. The modern Pocket Hoyle was only three dollars. I'd love to know how much its worth if anyone has any idea. Please tell me. :)

Incredible find! I don't know if it's worth anything because of the condition but you might be able to take it to an antiques dealer and find out.
Thanks I will have to do that. I mostly bought it because it was such a neat looking book and had a good amount of old fashion card games in it. That and I have a thing for antique books. :)
